Your freezer, sorted: how our prepaid meal plans work
There's a moment most new parents know. The visitors have gone home, the kraamweek is over, and you're standing in front of the fridge at 3pm, still in yesterday's clothes, wondering what counts as lunch.
We built our prepaid meal plans for exactly that moment. You plan once, and nourishing postpartum meals arrive at your door every week, in Amsterdam and across the Netherlands. No weekly ordering, no figuring out dinner with a baby on your chest.
How it works
- Choose your package. Birth Prep or Survival, Classic or Vegetarian, for 2, 4 or 6 weeks.
- Plan your weeks. For each week, pick your own breakfasts, lunches, dinners, broths and snacks. Or tap Surprise me and our chefs put together a balanced week for you. Mix both, week by week.
- Pay once. Everything is prepaid, so there's nothing to think about later.
- Delivered every week. We deliver on Mondays and Thursdays, always on the same day of the week. Everything arrives frozen: thaw, heat, eat.
Love the ginger chicken meatballs? Add them again. Too tired to choose? Let us. You plan once, and the following weeks quietly take care of themselves.
Two plans, depending on what you need
New Parent Survival Box. Six meals a week: two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners. A gentle backup for the days you don't have it in you to cook.
Birth Prep Box. Twenty-five items a week: five breakfasts, five lunches, five dinners, five broths and five snacks. This one really fills the freezer, so make some space before it arrives.
Both come in Classic or Vegetarian. And because you're planning ahead, prepaid plans cost less than ordering week by week. Four weeks prepaid saves you 15%.
Why planning ahead feels so good
The first weeks after birth are about rest, healing and getting to know your baby. Food matters a lot in that time, and it's usually the first thing to slip.
If you're an expat in Amsterdam, you might not have a mum or aunt around the corner to drop off soup. A meal plan won't replace your village, but it can be one part of it. If you're Dutch, you know how quickly life speeds up once the kraamzorg leaves. Either way, a full freezer means one less decision on the hardest days.
You can time your first delivery for just before your due date, or start once baby is here.

A gift that keeps showing up
Flowers are lovely. Food that arrives every week for a month is something else. Friends and family, here or abroad, can send a prepaid plan to someone in the Netherlands. At checkout, tick "This is a gift" and add the recipient's phone number and email, so we can let them know when we're coming. You can add a handwritten note too.

Questions friends ask us
Where do you deliver? In and around Amsterdam, and across the rest of the Netherlands.
How much freezer space do I need? The Survival Box needs a little room. For the Birth Prep Box, clear more room before your first delivery.
Do I need to be home? Someone needs to be there to take in the frozen box. We'll let you know before we arrive.
Can I order for someone else? Yes. Use the gift option at checkout and add the recipient's details.
